I recently dusted off the A-4 Skyhawk RAZBAM
the conversion to FSX, I banged my nose on small details that you see in the attached figures.

Can someone explain why this happens?

For the gear oleo's I think you need to delete the alpha (or make it white) from this texture: Glossy_t.bmp

have already made the conversion of Alpha but transparency remains ...:banghead:

but fully dependent on the texture or only from the 3D model?

Maybe there is a transparent alpha in another gear related texture that needs to be changed too. It is some time ago already but I am sure I did not have to change the mdl LOD colours. I also do not have the "blocks" in the VC, that looks like a missing texture or alpha problem.

It may be a longshot but have you tried without the *_L.bmp bitmaps? You do not need them in FSX, maybe that is causing the problem.

First of all thanks for the replies and for your patience
I have completely removed all * _l.bmp but the problem remains
as you have rightly said
be a texture missing
fact, moving into view of the VC, that is looking into the seat behind the black part disappears...

Where is this conversion? Will it apply also to the non hump E (pack 2)?
I know there are two paywares underway - but I'd be happy with what has been shown here.

PS: I could have sworn John Detrick did a cockpit and/or an FSX update. I even recall commenting on the oleo issue in a thread, and how John had solved it. I cannot find it to save my life ...

There was no conversion kit/upload. It has been a while so I pulled the scooters out of long term storage, checked them out. These are the fixes which work for me on the A-4F/M/N humpbacks:
Transparent landing gear oleo: Replace the old Glossy_t.bmp with the attached one.
Solid black square in A-4M VC: Add the missing VC texture section to your panel.cfg:
[Vcockpit06]
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=1024,1024
visible=0
pixel_size=1024,1024
texture=$primary_panel6

Thanks H! The ole fix will be the ticket!
I have some n/s gauges in the E .... has anyone fixed these? HSI, AoA ... etc. The E is really nice, and has some nice repaints. Also, it has no VC funky intrusive textures ... just some missing gauges.
