View Full Version : Disable post-crash/freeze stupid CFS3 question?

After rebooting and while re-loading CFS3 following a crash CTD or freeze/lockup, CFS3 will ask " CFS did not shut down normally... Do you want to see suggestions...." or words to that effect. Unless you answer NO, CFS does not continue to load and just sits there.
Is there a way to stop CFS3 from asking this useless question?
The info given on CFS3 crashing is not very useful.
My CFS freezes and CTD's a lot and I would like to go and mix a drink while it re-loads.
This is true for Off, ETO and stock CFS3.

It should go to some html help pages if you select 'no'.

Have you tried deleting your uisel.xml file (there's another thread about this running at the moment) or try deleting the whole cfs3 folder in application data and running the multicfs3.exe again (which you should have used to create the multi installs?

Cheers,

Pat

@Pat Pattle
Thanks for the suggestion, Pat.
I deleted the whole CSF Application folder and then ran multicfs and gave it a new name.
mistake! That prevents CFs from starting, it just "hangs" in the big splash screen.
Re-ran Multicsf with the exact same name it had before. then the game started started ok, but it still asks the same stupid question.
But I learned not to change the name of the back-up files.
