Playing arround with this mission pack.:applause:
How does one finish the mission #5:" Escort the Bombers home",I always find myself short on fuel. Is there a way to refuel on route or save fuel on warp flight ?

Salut

Try decreasing the power to, lets say, 50% before warping. No refuelling in cfs3 to the present, unfortunately.

Ces missions viennent-elles de Italian wings?

You have to throttle back to cruise speed and lean out the mixture as much as you can. Read the manual about the cruise speed, as it was pretty low on the early Fiat-fighters.

Unfortunately when warping, as far as I understand, CFS3 sets fuel cunsumption to a higher rate. So you will have to fly the mission without warping (takes a bit of time) or set fuel to unlimited first.

Cheers

It's all true. I've just forgotten to add that if you descrease power, lean the mixture and put the plane into automatic pilot before warping, maybe you'll be able to cheat the game:running:

Non.

Well, just for trying it out, I reflew the mission yesterday.

Before warping, I throttled back to about 40 / 45 % throttle, leaned the mixture out as much as possible and hit the X-button. At the end of the last warppoint I still had 'round 15% fuel left.

But I changed the aircraft to the "G50 CAI" from italianwings a while back. I don't know how the result will be when you fly it with the "G50-353" from the mission.

Cheers

Well Itaflyer for some reason the G50-353 does not carry the same amount of fuel as the G50 CAI. I tried flying the mission with both A/C and with the G50-353 I only have 9.5 % of fuel left and not even close to the airfield but with the G50 CAI ,same as you I come out of warping with 15% of fuel and very close to the airfield.
I wonder if there could be a way to slightly increase the fuel containt of the G50-353 A/C to the same amount as the G50 CAI ??

Cheers !

Open the xdp file in the aircraft folder with Notepad.
The last line in the file includes CombatRadius.
Increase as you wish, save and close.
Trash the bdp file in the folder.

Thank you SWPIERCE for the info,I increased the combat radius of the G50-353 A/C from 315 to 415 and the mission works very well now
