Hey All,

In the spirit of helping us all improve I thought it would be good if we posted our top 3 "go to" photography sites. These are the 3 I most go to - of course I go to others but these are the 3 I get the most out of.

1) http://digital-photography-school.com/

2) http://photography-on-the.net/forum/

3) http://www.luminous-landscape.com/

Like I mentioned I often go to the photo sharing sites like Flickr, Smugmug, etc and other specialized sites like those that feature HDR but these 3 are the 3 that I tend to get the most out of with respect to photography.

What are yours?

1. http://www.nikoncafe.com/vforums

2. http://www.dpreview.com/forums/

I don't really have a third but there are many other sites I visit occasionally - usually to browse for gear and check current prices!

I use Nikon Cafe more than anywhere and post regularly in a few of the forums there. It's the best place to go for news and reviews and is always populated by polite helpful people.

I visit Dpreview, SLRgear.com, imaging-resource.com and Letsgodigital about every day. I do take their reviews (especially Dpreview)with a fair grain of salt .

Luminous landscape is a site I regularly visit as well. Flickr...the Belgian photography forum BelgiumDigital.com...

And this guy:

And SonyAlphaRumors.com. It are just rumors but it's just fun to read from time to time. And sometimes they're even right...

Ed, as much as I like the Internet, and I do, I have to have something up front and in person, so I buy a heck of a lot of books on photography, have for years. But the three sites you listed at all bookmarked, as there are many helpful hints there.

One thing I should mention about anyone shooting in low-light (or bright-light for that matter) situation, that do not have a remote and wish to use the self-timer (I do this), if is highly recommended that one cover the rear eyepiece lest ambient light enter during longer exposures or with the sun behind you. I learned this shooting 35-mm with my scale models. If one does not, you may get some bright light spots on an otherwise good exposure. Eyepiece covers can be found at any good camera store, but if you're in a pinch, use a piece of masking tape. :ernae:

+1 for POTN (http://photography-on-the.net) and The Digital Picture (http://the-digital-picture.com) for Canon users.

Photozone.de has some decent lens reviews for all manufacturers.
