Hey all,

Has anyone here ever created an Apple iPhone/iPod Touch App before?

I was trying to find the SDK for this the other night and couldnt locate it.

It would be cool to create one. I have perhaps 10 idea's for some, lol...

Are you trying to expand your territory, Lionheart?

That's awesome, go for it, Sire! :ernae:

Haven't done anything for the iPhone, but a few years back I created many PDA apps. For that I used M$'s eMbedded C++ compiler or a name similar to that. It would compile and export the app either into a virtual PDA or directly to the device itself. Maybe Apple has a similar product. M$'s compiler was a free download.

I don't know if it's part of the SDK, but I've seen virtual iphones...so I know they exist.

"IPhone SDK" did the trick for me. ;)

Thanks Bjoern,

Tons of info on that page. I signed up. I am an official Apple iPhone App Dev. :d

They have a ton of tools and things. It would be nice to do a little LHC news thing App for LHC plane owners, then maybe some manuals and things for the planes so you could access them via the iPhone/iPod instead of using up the computer for that, like in real time flights.

I vote for the manual on the iTouch idea! If not the entire thing, at least a reference card with speeds etc. Tho I guess I could just use the notepad function. Ok, the entire manual would be best ;)

I downloaded and installed all necessary stuff and.... went nowhere with it! :icon_lol: I'm entangled with VS2008 right now.

A properly scaled .pdf manual for the iPod/iPhone would be nice (or reference card). Actually, I have a bunch of manuals on my iPod already. But zooming in and out gets old.
