I like the first because of the panning, the second (have never seen a Harrier myself but I'd love to hear and photograph that machine) and the fourth.

Doesn't look bad for a Bigma :applause:...although I *think* the camera outperforms the lens. Could you post some EXIF information (focal length, shutter speed, aperture, ISO, exposure compensation if used)? It doesn't seem to be in the images...

Too bad Nikon doesn't offer something like a 100-400mm (they do have a 80-400 (http://www.slrgear.com/reviews/showproduct.php/product/125/cat/13) but's not that recent - more recent than the 100-400 - 1998! though, 2001 - and a bit slow for such objects I think, sharpness is noticeably degraded once past 105mm as well).

Nice, but would you mind to post the EXIF as well ? We could all learn from the data in the EXIF...

Late to the air show. Love the pictures. Sometimes, I can looks at pictures like that for an hour. I guess they are nostalgic to me in a way.

Hope this was what you were looking for Joris. As you can see, nothing fancy. I'm really a beginner when it comes to photography. I've been to maybe 4 airshows with my current setup (it's really my first setup unless you count a point and shoot), and most of these are from the 4th show I went to.

Hopefully I will get better as time goes on, but for now I am happy.

Looks very good. Did you use the P-mode on the D2X ?

Because sometimes you don't zoom in that far (relatively short focal length) but still use a higher shutter speed and shoot with a nearly wide open aperture (f/5.6, f6, f/6.3). The sharpness may improve a bit when you set it to f/8 (where generally most lenses are the sharpest).

Really like the AV-8B, Blackhawk and the Trojan. Great stuff!

Thanks.

I do believe I used P. As for the sharpness, the full quality photos are much better. The compression SOH does doesn't do these photos justice.
