I thought I read somewhere that the guy who made the Pirat sailplane for FSX (empeck sp?) was doing an EMB of sorts. Was I dreaming this or is there some development pics floating around the web?

Looking good!....a perfect lead in trainer to the Aero (Lotus) L39 (although the Polish Air Force use Iskras)

I cannot say the actual real aircraft type does anything for me (an Iskra is more my 'cup of tea') but I can see that the model is going to be up with the very best freeware available, what a great talent you have:medals::medals:

Actually, I want Orlik to be up with best payware available :wiggle:

Thanks guys :)

I think I said it already in the past, but I'm deeply impressed by the quality of your modelling, Empeck. Total respect :) :applause:

PZL ok haha. I was thinking EMB tucano for some reason (similar I spose)

Those shots look fantastic!

That would be too easy. :icon_lol:

(Are you going to include those "special" landing lights?)

empeck
January 13th, 2010, 13:03
Ryanbatc, yes it's similar plane, thanks.

Sure, already done, just needs some tuning. Thanks to Varmint from VRSimulations.com of course :)

You do amazing stuff Empeck, this looks awesome!
Of course, there will be a fictional RAAF (Australian) paint! :d

empeck
January 13th, 2010, 13:30
There will be a paint kit of course. In reality Orliks have just one livery, with different numbers and some stickers.

ryanbatc
January 13th, 2010, 13:31
If I may add one constructive criticism - possibly tone down the interior reflections. From that shot they look a little overdone and I would guess they are worse at night. Or provide an option for no reflections.

Thanks

empeck
January 13th, 2010, 13:36
Yeah, this texture is not finished yet, it will be much more subtle. There will be gauge panel reflection too.

January 13th, 2010, 13:40
Really great stuff. And you're making this payware? lol I'd pay for it :applause:

what is the top cruise speed and ceiling for this pzl?

empeck
January 13th, 2010, 14:13
No, Orlik will be freeware, but anyone can donate if he wants :D

Cruise speed is 300km/h, max speed is 480km/h, ceiling - 6000m.

ryanbatc
January 13th, 2010, 18:29
ooops I meant to say "freeware" in my post above. Anyway I wish you luck in creation of it. It seems to be my kind of aircraft from a speed standpoint. Fast but not too fast that my textures don't load haha.

So is there a few months left for this thing?

empeck
January 22nd, 2010, 14:54
Thanks guys. Unfortunately it may be more than few months. I have very limited spare time, 12h at work (including my way to/from work), wife and daughter are more important than hobby.

That thing is brilliant.

You should post some of the shots of the bump mapping on that fuselage...

Your family is definately worth more than any fsim project!
When you finish it...whenever....we'll be happy to fly it.

Best regards,

Roger.

Irrespective of the whole freeware/payware price bracket, this plane looks as though it's going to be a real winner and one that's going to be real fun to take to the multiplayer skies.
