Seems that the guys at Bear Studios have been busily working on a Jian 10 (J-10) for FS9 and FSX! Due for release "soon" :ernae:

Well I am glad to say, that will not be troubling my wallet. I guess they are after the new money coming from Chinese simmers.....which I suppose exsist! All those wonderful old ex-Soviet types that have not been covered and they make a shiney F-16 lookalike

Looks like a montage of parts from the F-16, Eurofighter and the Mirage 2000. I wish them well with the final stages of development, but not for me either.

I posted a link about this model some time ago. Never got 100% confirmation on whether this is a Native model or not but some say it is. Looks good though.

The j-10 has actually been out a few years now. it flys great, but already they have the J-12 in testing and the j-13 14 15 still coming.. The j-15 by eveything the hinese have shown so far ( be it real, memorex, or photoshop ) looks to be an imoressive piece of work

It is actually based on the Israeli IAI Lavi.

I think it looks good and is interesting.

Lots of us complain about the same planes being done over and over and here we have something different. Sure it resembles the F-16, Eurofighter with a bit of Mirage for good measure. It is a single jet engine, one tail, single under fuselage intake fighter. Other than that the curves are quite different than the F-16.

Same logic, why do a Sukoi if there is a Fulcrum out or an F-15. For that matter the F-18 looks simulliar.

All WWII fighters could probably be broken down into 3-4 different types that all "look the same" as each other to some people.

All single engine/prop, overhead wing, single fuselage 2-4 seater aircraft (Cessna, Porter, Cub etc) resemble each other but there is room for all in our sims.

To me all tubeliners look very simullar to each other but I don't point this out in the thread that people are using to generate interest in someone's new Boeing 7XX project.

Why do we all spend so much time tearing down devs instead of incouraging them? Tearing down is a bit strong for what's been said here but it applies to other threads, being negative is maybe a more accurate statement for what's happening here.

Not trying to start anything, please see it that way. Just expressing my opinion that we should be more positive and incouraging. I personally would like to see more devs come back to regularilly posting here at the Outhouse. Plus it's just nicer to encourage. If a model doesn't interest you just ignore it?

Well that was my $.03 (inflation).

I'll certainly purchase it as long as we can get some kind of confirmation that it is FSX native.

If it's not your cup of tea, it doesn't mean it's a bad product.
I also think mods should uphold a more neutral point of view.

I still fly Bill's MiG-15 in Fs9 and I think it's great quality and value for money so I'm quite interested in this one. FsX native would be a bonus but I'd be happy with a Fs9 version as well. Do hope that a MiG-19 is on his list too though.

So true, but used the wiki-page merely as a quick overview. If you do an in depth research regarding the history of the J-10 on the internet you will come to the same conclusion. Not gonna give you the Jane's link, due to copyrights and subscription fee's :mixedsmi:.
