Wow! Interesting! But, what would be the point of doing that? I get that you can "create" the illusion of taking shots at nighttime and all, but not sure I would want to cut the wires, etc.? http://freesmileyface.net/smiley/Confused/confused-22.gif (http://freesmileyface.net/Free-Confused-Smileys.html)

Yeah...
I wouldn't want to cut anything either....:kilroy:

But to be honest, the 1/500 flash synch rate of your D40 is higher than quite a few professional cameras...Even higher than the D3 series......:mixedsmi:

That is interesting P. Thanks for the link.

I agree with C9G, however. What is the point?

Guess it is one of those, "If I have to ask...." things?

actually thats a cool thing
it could be reversed
one of the problems with say taking a pic outside of a group
with the sun behind them and wearing caps
there faces are in the shadow and even more because of the caps
thats why a focal plane shutter has a problem
time to get out a Rolliecord or a Blad
most slr's sync at 1/200
to be able to sync at a higher speed and have control of the flash
thats great
thanks for the HU
