Guess I'll need a Cub to get in there :applause:

The FSD Porter would do well in there too.

I wonder what the biggest airplane you could put in there would be. My guess would be the V-22. It may have to go in vertically facing the buildings.

Many thanks. That looks like a challenging piece of scenery.

It looks great Marvin. I could get out with Bill's Kodiak, but couldn't find my way back even with a GPS! (Eye thing I guess), but then I found something I could get back with. Thanks!

It really is kinda ruff getting in and out. a cub would be your best bet, not much run out,and not much clearance for large wings. I wanted to make a really challenging approach and small Field. The autocrat and storch do well. Can't waite for mikes cub!!!!
Glad you guys like it, Thanks!!!

The only fixed-wing turboprop that I could land there in:

SIAI Marchetti SM 1019

Quite a fun little plane, but not FSX native though.

ok, i didn't have it installed properly, that's why i couldn't find it. :icon_lol:

the only fixed wings i have that is capable of carrying a research team or a hunting party (3-4 pax and their gear) would be

the 206, but i don't think it has the stol capabilities neccessary
the 208, but same as above
the kodiak. i managed to get in and out again with the kodiak loaded up to my guestimated weight and fuel. but i gotta tell ya, gettin out was tricky.
gettin in, i was only able to accomplish because i fly the kodiak all the time.
when the wheels touched down i hit the reverser and began stabbin the brakes. we stopped, but we tested the limits on the shoulder straps :icon_lol:
i'll be ferryin customers in and out with the eh-101 from vancouver intl, and seeing the occasional inspector or game warden stop in, in a cub or mebbe a 172. i think we need to hire some guys to clear some more trees :wavey:

nice job on the scenery, it's very cool :applause:

Is there any way to extend the cleared area ahead of the runway? I have a bunch of trees not shown in your screenshots.

Probably due to a difference in autogen settings. It would be up to Marvin and he would just need to extend whatever exclude box he already has in that area to remove trees farther out, or you can turn down your autogen settings.:salute:

I think this is Marvin's baby, lol. He's been doing some really creative work with his Short Field Air Strips. I'm sure he has more up his sleeve.:salute:

Isn't O22 the one with the campground next to it?

LCSims I think there is a camp ground there, I live just west of it right at the edge of the foothills, great place to fly out of. San Fransico to the west ,Lake Tahoe to the Norht ,and Yosimite to the south east. And all of the sierra nevada mountain range with all kinda canyons to fly in.

Haha! I cheated. :kilroy: Incidentally, I believe the Tilt-Rotor may be the basis for that flyer in Avatar.

last night i flew around and around trying to find this place. i flew up and down every nook and cranny of that area. after a while, i ended the flight and went to the loading screen so i could start directly from the strip.
i discovered that it had de-activated itself somehow. i re-activated it in the scenery library and it was all good. anyone have any insight on how that could happen?

I don't know cheezy, seems like once you've loaded it into the scenery library and then activated it. . .it will remain so until it is physically changed in the library. I don't know of any other way that would happen.:salute:
