I tried designing a site through my own provider. Too many restrictions I can't resolve.

So, can anyone recommend anywhere?

If you have the ability to design offline and upload via FTP, I'd go that route. It might mean you'd have to purchase a design package, but you can weigh that cost for yourself.

heh..sounds like a project to go that route. Not shooting it down, but it sounds like an even bigger project than I want to take on.

If you google around, there are several open-source (freeware) tools for building a webpages.
Nvu and Bluefish are a couple that I've used. I've also got Dreamweaver (courtesy of work), but many times I stick with Nvu since I'm still more familiar with it. Spendy one for just personal use though.

Filezilla is an excellent FTP utility for managing files offline to online.

Yeah it's a lot of work. I've never gotten too in depth with building my own site for that reason...too much time that I'd rather spend on other projects.

(I moved this to the software forum)

NCGent used Yola.com for his website, looks pretty good. You might want to check it out: http://topflightsimulation.yolasite.com

Thanks go out to all of you. And, I really mean it.

I'm not much into the html stuff anymore. It's been quite awhile since I messed with it. I just want something fairly simple. Something where I can upload my own backgrounds & images. And have the option to mix and match for the look I desired. Ten pages is more than enough. File size of say 10mb would be beneficial so to host my repaints. Although I could use rapidshare. I've had an account with them for roughly 6 years. And, everyone downloading would help pay for the cost as each free downloader adds to gross points towards free services.

I'll surely come up with something out of all this. :ernae:
