Does anyone know if the famous Hungarian Eagle paint has been done for this bird?

Guys, the scenery in the first set is UHMM Sokol, and the second set features XLWF Kipelovo, both available for free @ www.avsim.ru

Thanks - Thought I recognized Sokol, which I have - your AI is just so much better than mine!
Actually at first I thought it might be Zvartnots UGEE, which is another brilliant E European scenery suitable for a Hind.

Hi,

Very nice model indeed.
Out of curiosity .. how I can have sounds working with this helico ? :)
I tried many helico sound packs and not avail.
No sounds inside or outside .. but just wind sound and also the retracting-lower gear sounds (hot start or cold start)

Hi,

The repaint of the Hungarian Hind is available on Flightsim.com search for Hind. As for the Hind sounds try page 26 on Simviation 2004 Helicopters.

Oh yes it's still the nicest freeware Hind, even for FSX.
In any case, it is the ONLY freeware Hind with a VC, both in FSX and FS9 :bump:
The external model is really cool, and I especially love the flight model of this bird. The VC would need some better textures, though.

Hi,

I downloaded and installed the sounds from Simviation
It's no cure .. as I have no sounds
I have many helicos and all work good even when I swap their sounds
Only this helico give problems.
Anyone with a clue ?

Hi Claudius.

I,m assuming you read the readme

Either use my included aircraft.cfg or change the following section to read as follows:
[GeneralEngineData]
//0=Piston, 1=Jet, 2=None, 3=Helo-Turbine, 4=Rocket, 5=Turboprop
//engine_type = 3
engine_type = 5
fuel_flow_scalar = 1.0
min_throttle_limit = 0.0
engine.0 = 5.63, 0.0, 2.89

Hi,

Thank's it work now :applause::applause::applause:

Indeed it's a difference with the original engine datas

[GeneralEngineData]
//0=Piston, 1=Jet, 2=None, 3=Helo-Turbine, 4=Rocket, 5=Turboprop
engine_type = 3
fuel_flow_scalar = 1.0
min_throttle_limit = 0.0
engine.0 = 5.63, 0.0, 2.89

And I can now use any helico sounds I want with the russian flying tank :)

Seeing all of these screenies and reading the comments in this thread... I went back and found Piglet's Mi-24 with all of these goodies on a CD and re-installed the whole magillah. I'm not much for hilos but I like this one alot. I'm not knowledgable on the real Mi-24, but it seems that its an accurate flight model.

Just tried the update, but found it makes the Hind way too twitchy when close to the ground, I could hardly get it flying.

Love this thing!

I have the stock version and it is about the easiest helo for me to fly. Just did some touch and goes in and around an airport and never once flipped her on her side.

:d :d :d

For me, this helo handles fairly gentle. With zero stick, her balance will cause a slight backward drift, which is fine by me, as it will negate speed when you go neutral stick when coming in for a landing.

Nice to be able to land one of these things for once. I was trying to land helo's the other night, tried several and just kept messing up. I should have tried the Hind first.

Ferry you are right the mod is a little too twitchy for my taste, but strangely also very mushy.
I found myself sawing away at the joystick in a continous PIO.

I think it's probably quite hard to model a large helo, which is why piglet by his own admission just used the stock Bell 206 FDE...
