Let me tell you a short story about Eli. Eli was seized from his original owners, because of neglect. When they first brought him to the Humane Society, it was discovered that he had gum disease. The vet had to pull all of his teeth out. Once Eli recovered from his gum surgery, he was up for "adoption" at the local humane society. By the time I showed up to adopt a cat, Eli had been waiting for over a year and a half to be adopted. Do you know why it took so long for Eli to finally be adopted? Because he requires special feeding needs. It's no big deal really, but most people are busy nowadays and thus don't really have a lot of time to dedicate to a special need animal.

As soon as I saw Eli, my heart melted and I knew at that very moment, that Eli would be coming home with us.
To answer your initial question Hannah- in order for Eli to be able to eat, we have to make him a "soup", so he can lap up his food and not have to chew. So he eats canned food only. We simply mix water in with his canned food. That's all it takes really.

Eli is one of the BEST cats I've ever owned. He is so gentle and peaceful- he would not hurt a fly. I am so happy we decided to give this little guy a chance! It took a while for Eli to find his home, but that's because he was meant to come to ours.

I love Xena...

I like her 3 colored patches... white, black and orange...

I had a cat like her in the past and she was the boss, among other cats! :bump:

All nice pictures C9G ... 3 cats now? That's an allergy attack just waiting to happen for me. :wiggle:

And with 3 cats around him, I can understand why Shadow is a "scaredy cat" ... (pun intended ...)

:bump:

I agree with P. Keep shooting.
