Been snowing most of the day here; there's about 4-8 inches of snow everywhere here. Traffic has come to a halt and it is very quiet on the street. A good time to walk a bit and take the camera with me.

The view outside my window:

My cat has no clue what is going on out there:

I think this is my car..:

Yep, it is!:

My block:

The church nearest to my house, on my way to the town centre:

The completely deserted market square:

The oldest church in my town:

A typical Dutch windmill, currently being restored:

Next stop was my house again, as I was getting cold and wet, not to mention tired from plowing through the snow!

Only 'regular' car traffic was hampered. Nina and I drove to Amersfoort and back and we passed thousands of cars in our Jeep. Normally we GET passed.... this was fun ! :jump::jump:

I let my cats out into the garden today! They took a quick leap and jumped back in like rabbits throwing the cold wet snow off their feet. They prefer lying on the radiator now! Downside is I still have to go with the dog later. Maybe I´ll dig for my car, too, must be somewhere...

I'll probably take my bicycle to work tomorrow, it'll be quicker I think but a bit colder.
Cleaned up the car a bit just in case I need it, so I don't have to dig it out then and get all cold and wet. No snow falling right now but the roads still are impossible to drive on.

It's only fair that once in a while some people other than us get snowed in hehehttp://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/images/icons/icon26.gif

I can't say I'm a huge fan of winter... lately it's been pretty damn freezing in here:pop4:

But nice pictures still:salute:

Beautiful White Christmas! :applause:

I think it is fun digging you car somewhere on the parking lot, as long as you dig the right car! :bump:

Today is our coldest so far down 39ºF later tonight.... and a high of 60ºF, must be real fun, huh....

I enjoy the cold weather, I was able to wear my leather jacket and boots to church.... :running:

Ah, great shots Ferry ... love the town and architecture ... enhanced by the snow of course.

High 68 degrees F. here today in southeast New Mexico. We had snow a few weeks ago ... ready for Spring now. lol

Oh Ferry! I loved looking at your pictures! Wow! Very pretty! My two favorite ones are:

The picture showing the church "nearest to your town"- it seems so quaint and homey! I could easily imagine myself just strolling down that street, enjoying the scenery and the little shops.

Then I love the picture of the Dutch Windmill- so beautiful and such an iconic representation of Holland.
I would love to visit your country one day!

Thanks for sharing a glimpse of your world with us. http://www.tiptopglobe.com/skin/smile/s8786.gif (http://www.tiptopglobe.com/free-smiles-smileys-emoticons-blog-forum-email)

PS- Your cat is a cutie pie!

C9G: Believe me, I only made a few photos of landmarks, the rest of this 100,000+ population city is rather boring..

As for the cat: He might look cute, but I firmly believe there's at least a bit of tiger or another large cat in him.... :blind:

Now that's snow! What we usually get here is freezing rain, sleet, and sloppy, wet snow. Once in a while we get a fluffy, dry type snow, but more often than not it's just a layer of slick mess.
