Sip of cheap Cab-Sauv in your honor (and shamelessly adds to his own count). :ernae:

In my looser days, I was known to do some shots of some very potent 'chemicals' that would probably be better for cleaning metals rather then putting in the blood stream..

One, was what I had at my buddies house when his wifes dad would come over. He was from Yugoslavia. That called for Schlivovitz, a rare, potent plum brandy. We would do 3 shots, and then carry on into the evening sipping some Heineken or other Euro beer.

Another, which became too much of a 'headache-the-next-day' drink, was cold, freezer chilled Jaegermeister. Man.. Losing ones memory of the night before is just not meant to be.

Glenlivet.. EEEKS! More headaches..

Marguarita's.. GRIM! THE WORST HEADACHES!!!! Never touch it anymore.. never..

A black and tan is really nice, even chilled a bit. (yep.. ). Harps lager on the bottom, gently mixed with 50% Guiness on the top, poured on a bent spoon to keep it from intermixing, so that as you drink the Guiness, it turns to Harps. Great stuff.

I miss Lowenbrau. Can rarely find it here anymore. Oh well.

A glass of grapes is good. Nothing like a fine red wine (for me, anyways).

Ah gimme an "Ol Froth 'n Slosh. The 'ol pale stale ale with the head on the bottom. Now that's a beer! ;)

Or, and aged Frontinac Beer brewed yesteryear up in 'ol Montreal. That's if you're lucky enough to find someone with a stash of it they'll share.

The only reason I'm drinking a cheap cab-sauv is that it was a gimme from my wife's company christmas party (we got about half a case). It's a 2008 and a little rough...

I much prefer a nice, hoppy pale ale.

A good scotch/rocks

A margarita made with 'good' tequila

Decent martini

I'll probably be shoveling snow tomorrow with a headache from the cheap red wine... :monkies:

On occasion, I also enjoy a good Dirty martini, Cosmo, Margarita or Mojito. Top shelf liquor only please!

In the heat of the high summer, I enjoy a crisp Gin & Tonic sometimes, but - having spent soo much time in the tropics - a really dark rum is my specialty !

Pusser's British Navy Rum (very hard to find in the USA) or Meyer's are two of the best out there. My Cuban Grandfather always said to NEVER drink any rum you can see through. . !

2000 posts, eh? There's something to be said for loyalty. Congratulations. :applause:

PS: Oh, and what fool would EVER bring C9G anything but top shelf. . .?

Okay, everyone knows what a vodka and orange juice is named...

What would you call vodka and milk of magnesia?

A: a Phillips Screwdriver of course! :ernae:

boogie til ya puke!
then suffer for days.
was once my motto.
now, my stomach is shot
and it's the occasional glass
of Charles Shaw Merlot or Shiraz.
or as it's known out here,
Three Buck Chuck
cause it's $3 a bottle.
not bad, actually.

Schlivovitz

I can remember having a glass of that one once. Wasn't too bad.

Another, which became too much of a 'headache-the-next-day' drink, was cold, freezer chilled Jaegermeister. Man.. Losing ones memory of the night before is just not meant to be.

My personal record is eight in a row. It got very disgusting after that, lol.

But I quite like "Flotter Euter" (loosely translates to "jaunty udder" or so), which is basically Jägermeister and milk. Tastes like a manly version of Bailey's. :d

I miss Lowenbrau. Can rarely find it here anymore. Oh well.

Urgh, bavarian beer.

A glass of grapes is good. Nothing like a fine red wine (for me, anyways).

A cup of hot wine with a shot of rum is the single best thing about winter.
Or "Feuerzangenbowle", which is basically a spiced up version of that hot wine and rum.

Congrats, Bjoern ....now gimme a beer and none
of the weak pish!:ernae::bump:
Thanks.

Weak pish?

Hmm...should've offered some absinthe as well...

Top shelf liquor only please!

Oh yes please. Nothing worse than a hangover induced by low-grade alcohol.

Thanks!

My Cuban Grandfather always said to NEVER drink any rum you can see through. . !

Well, I drink my rum mostly mixed with cola. Does that count as well? :icon_lol:

Speaks mostly for this forum. :)

congrats! i'll have a screwdriver, if you're using blue label smirnoff.

Umm, well...in bars you'll mostly get red label smirnoff and in my fridge lies a bottle of Nordhäuser vodka.

So basically no, but the Nordhäuser is quite good.

a better drink than what i used to - rumple minz and haegermeister - screaming nazi

Jägermeister and mint?

Geez, that must be awful.

The only thing for me!

Oh yeah, the irish ones aren't bad either!
