I purchased the Nikkor AF-S DX VR 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED lens as a slightly early Christmas present. After all, I need it to take pictures of my grandson who is coming over in a few days.

What I love about it is the all-in-one capability this lens has. Besides having a very large focal range it has the ability to focus into around 18". At 200mm zoom this gets you up close and personal.

I took it out this afternoon in a wooded area not from from my home. Here are a few shots showing the lens' capabilities.

Congrats on the new lens, John....a pretty decent all-in-one solution by all accounts.:ernae:

jmig~ Nice shots! The 0058 is my favorite one! I love how you captured the sunlight as your focal point. The reflection in the water is simply beautiful! Thank you for sharing a glimpse of your "neck of the woods" with all of us!

The gravestones remind me of those in a dead town named Pinckneyville, SC.

Good on you John.
