I am sorry to report that Ed freeman passed last WEd. anybody who was ever in Nam knows who Ed freeman was- He flew his unarmed huey into a large fire fight to extract wounded marines- not once but 13 time he returned to remove the wounded after medavac was told not to come in to the lz. Go with GOD my friend May you rest in peace

Actually, Ed Freeman was Army, and passed away in August 2008. Regardless, he was a true American hero. Mission accomplished, rest in peace. :salute:

He was a brother in arms that flew missions to help my fellow Marines.

I flew almost exclusively on Army helos in Vietnam.

Called in Naval gunfire and Navy and Marine air support for the Army in MR-1. Even though we Marines were Marines, we worked for the Army and live with the Army on Army fire bases.

We were all brothers up there.
