Just run a complete installation of the above (plus Battle over Europe)up to and including PE-2 with all patches to 4.05. Howver when I try to start using PF Disk 2, I get another window opening by BoonBox and after clicking on "Ulock my game" I get another window saying an error has occurred, go back and try again - with the same result. I would be most grateful for any advice on how to get flying
Many thanks
George

Using Windows XP - BTW

Glad you got it sorted, but you should really get the final release of the game, 1946. Your installation is way out of date - no more support, patches, or online play.

Thanks Nausica - in fact I ordered 1946 earlier this week and am waiting for it to arrive.
I`ve downloaded 4.08/4.09 patches in readiness.
Small query is this another "merged" installation like the others?? also is it
better to install `em all together or put IL-2; PF& 1946 as 3 seperate installations

Regards

George

1946 contains all of the previous versions and patches of the Il2 series, so do not attempt to apply it to a previous installation. Once you have installed 1946 you will want to obtain the free patches which are 4.08m and now 4.09m. Before installing 4.09m make sure any online server on which you wish to fly is using 4.09.

Before installing 4.09m make sure any online server on which you wish to fly is using 4.09.

Or if you fly IP to IP with friends, make sure they are all patched the same too. My old gruppe, JG-53, flew IP to IP and we had fewer problems that way. HyperLobby is ok too if all are patched the same.
