Taken yesterday during a cold walk along the southern side of the Riverwalk Trail in Danville, VA. The pano features the old White Mill, a very choppy and muddy Dan River, and the Martin Luther King Memorial bridge. This pano was composed from three shots I took with a cheap Olympus X-915 digital mounted on a mini-tripod that I carry for long walks, my SLR digital is just too big sometimes.

Auto-everything, except Aperture Preferred. Photo merge, and post-processing done in Photoshop CS using the Virtual Photographer Plug-In and Photoshop Tools. Photo cropped and sized for web.

Henry,

Are you using Photoshop?

If so, they have an automated Photo Merge with Advanced Blending. Be very sure you have Advanced Blending checked.

One still has to work some clone magic in place, but the advanced blending reduces the amount of work and one does not have sharp joins at the merges. Mostly, the work involves blending the sky with the Clone Tool. Once I am through, I use a Neat Image Plug-In Filter to do a custom sharpen and noise reduction, then set levels and color adjustment before finishing all using the Virtual Photographer Plug-In filter. All good things take time.
