I think I saw something about this a while back. Quite expensive, if I recall correctly. Having use three monitors connected to a TH2Go, I can assure you that your brain removes the frames and connects the three images into one.

Man... That does look awesome, doesnt it!

The next big step.....

I think the newest versions of those monitors are either 3K or 10K.

I had seen somewhere that an office used those at each desk. Imagine a room of 10 desks with one at each desk, lol... Crazy...

If you remember the movie with Tom Cruise that takes place in the future, their computer screens were multiplied. They had several with a main one being a huge 40" thing and smaller rectangles sprouting off of that one.

Some awesome things in store for us in the world of 'tomorrow'....

That is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. :icon_lol:

But it needs 3 cards? The TH2Go only uses one, correct? :kilroy:

how about this? I saw it at E3 in 2006, running FSX. The MS guy said it costs 50,000USD tho! :)

Ugh, I don't want to imagine the GPUs needed to adequately supply that thing.

FSX? Impossible.
Crysis? Yeah...with three GTX295s in the case.

Check the bottom center photo - looks like the default FSX power glider to me.

I have dreamed of something like that Feng, only larger and like a small planetarium, full 360 view, with a boxed-built simulator on a rig. Aw heck, what's wrong with dreaming? Some day, someone will "make it so".

That looks like projection and I have flown FSX and FS9 with good projector screens. Sucks! I"ll take your Mac anyday! :bump:

Thats a wild one Feng.

The good thing on that rounded sphere version is the eye distance to screen remains constant from side to side, top to bottom. Ingenious design..

Didnt Syd Mead make a design like that years ago for desk chairs that were in Spheres? Like a computer containment module.. "Sentinel" (book) pages 126 and 127.

For now, why not have a giant curved piece of white plastic that bends from one corner of your desk to the other, radiuss'd to your eyes distance, and use two small projector TV's to capture each opposite side.. (or one really good one with a special lense to handle the curvature of the plastic sheet material).

That was my idea.. Have the plastic screen about 30 inches high, lolol.. How awesome would that be. The only thing I would hate is dimness from surrounding light. The projector would thus be running ultra hot and probably be extremely expensive....
