By far most excellent. I'll be the next one you take won't look anything like it! :bump:

Nice shot! How far away was the lens from the snowflake?

They are calling for it in our area beginning Friday late and going through mid-day Saturday. I'll believe it when I see it. Love the stuff, still play like a child in it.

Interesting that theoretically they'll never find two the same as they say, but one thing they all have in common is they're 6 spoked ...
Interesting thing those little ice crystals. :)

An interesting read related to snow flake shapes:
http://www.its.caltech.edu/~atomic/snowcrystals/class/class.htm (http://www.its.caltech.edu/%7Eatomic/snowcrystals/class/class.htm)
Supposedly the shape varies according to temperature...
Edit: I found the chart:http://www.its.caltech.edu/~atomic/snowcrystals/primer/morphologydiagram.jpg (http://www.its.caltech.edu/%7Eatomic/snowcrystals/primer/morphologydiagram.jpg)
