Artist Matthew Cook is a serving soldier in the Territorial Army. His work from a recent tour of Afghanistan is the subject of a new exhibition at the Ministry of Defence in London.

Fantastic. I've always been a fan of Illustrative art. I would have to assume he is a professional, because if he isn't, he very well should be. :applause:

Great stuff!

I wonder if these are reconstructs from photographs ... not that he's using the photo to paint over, but capturing the scene with a photo then painting it.

I was wondering about photographs too... based on the story it sounds like he draws freehand. :applause:
