I'm a few hundred miles SE of Green Bay and just checked the weather radar and it looks like we may just catch the bottom corner of the storm. Thankfully most of the bad stuff looks like it will pass north of us but could hit Toronto at some point (they can have it...lol).

Up here in the Arctic is nice and toasty -25f with snow falling and about a 20 knot wind. By the end of the week we could be in for -60F and of course more snow. Think I'll sneeze and send it all to Green Bay:icon_lol:. Who am I kidding its my kinda WX and im greedy and love the cold and snow.

SNOW UPDATE: We've got about 2 inches of rather dry fluffy snow. It's barely flurry-ing right now.

We haven't had much snow here yet but the temperature is headed to -20F/-30C:173go1: for the first time this year. Looks like the frost will go deep this winter.
This is good weather for for making ice on Lake Winnipeg so my buddies can get to work commercial fishing. Me, I don't miss working on the ramp on nights like this.
Stay warm, and be careful on the roads.

That storm system blew through AZ yesterday. Dumped 12-18 inches of snow in northern AZ and .25-1.5 in of rain down here. Around 10:30pm we had wind gusts of 60-75 mph along with thunder and lightning, and numerous power outages. Batten down the hatches!!

Update: Green Bay, WI
It's official, we have a full blown blizzard going on here.
We're expecting at least 9-15 inches here with winds 20-25 and gusts to 40+. Everything is closed and canceled. Visibility near zero. All flights canceled. Can't wait to do the drive to work. :isadizzy:
Sucks working in retail this time of year.
I just heard their not towing any cars out of ditches until this is over tomorrow unless it's blocking a road. Their telling everyone to stay off the roads. I gotta get them to call my work!

Wow!!! Stay safe man, that doesn't look fun at all!

I can't wait to get out and take some pictures. I don't want to go out with my camera until it is snowing less though. My little Rebel XSi doesn't have weather sealing. :(

WHOA there was just a huge wind gust. We've got easily 14 inches on the deck off the back of our house right now.

Im in Green Bay, lots of snow. Usually Im out there shoveling but with a 3 foot berm at the driveway and 18 or more inches of heavy wet snow I concede defeat, waiting on the snow removal guy then off to fleet farm or menards to buy a snow blower.

The picture of your "office" brings back good and bad memories. Good because my last truck was a Volvo 660. Bad... been there, done that, somehow survived.

I always owned my trucks, so it was easy for me to take the stance that the truck moved when I decided it was going to move. Schedules be damned, safety was and never would be compromised.

My sincere best wishes to you. Bleep the dispatchers! :icon_lol:

I have failed. Actually, I never even got in the car. I could see from a third floor window that the road to our complex and parking lot hadn't been plowed since early this morning and most of it had filled in again. There were one set of tracks coming in but none going out. And there was a guy stuck in his van trying to get out of the parking lot. My car is in the underground parking and it appears that the ramp has not been plowed. I thought "I don't need my car stuck on the ramp in anybodies way", so I turned around and went home. When I called in to work, it sounded like I must have been about the 50th employee to call in so far. Right now I've got about a three foot drift on my deck. and about 6-12in on the railing. Snow seems to be letting up some but the wind is still really blowin.

Yeah I have a similar story here. The plow appears to have come by earlier this morning but there looks to be easily 4-5 inches of snow on the road in front of our house, deeper in drifts. I really don't think I want to try going all the way across town to work this afternoon. No one's grocery shopping now anyways... :icon_lol:

My boss said he spent 45 minutes digging out his car earlier today. :isadizzy:

It's still snowing here, but it has really let up in the last 15 minutes. Still really really windy though. Hopefully I can get out and take some pictures soon.

That's right Tom, rub it in!

Had it been five degrees cooler yesterday, I'd be cleaning 6 to 8 inches from my driveway and the kids would be out of school! But nooooo, God hate me, I know it, there has not been a decent snow in the Danville area since January 1996! My oldest son says he's going to move to a state that has snow all Winter, I told him I was going to leave momma in the Winter and live with him! Momma hates snow and cold, momma sho ain't no Canukestanian C9G. :icon_lol:

YUK ! That sucks guys. We got lucky, the storm barely grazed us here in west Chicago, got a bit of snow last night but it melted almost immediately, and here on the backside of it we got a little freezing rain, but it isn't sticking.

We dodged a bullet here, I really feel for them cheezeheads.

Got about 7 inches here in Central VT. Wind is now picking up so it will now start to drift. Plow guy came while Rose was sleeping (She works night shift) so he plowed around the cars in the yard. Lots of shoveling to do...

Anyone made it out on skies in that stuff? We get precious little snow here (less than 6 feet per year on average), and this year is looking like a slim year. That is not good news since I will have time for skiing (cross country) starting next week. Oh well, I guess I can spend more time with flight simulators.

Well made it to work and back today. Live in Appleton, work in Oshkosh. Good thing I have a 4wheel drive. Many cars and trucks stuck in the unplowed roads. What made it so bad was that the temps were so warm and the snow wet and very slippery. Now comes the cold. Hey Kiwika, didnt realize your from Appleton.
