Here is the thread in the French Forum. The panel.cfg changes to the vc are shown towards the bottom of the thread.

Henry,

Steffen Moessner did an alternative vintage panel for the Taifun based on the KeDi gaugs, which are FSX compatible.

The panel inclusive a very nice repaint can be found on Avsim.com under the file name "bf108_taifun.zip".

The nice blue repaint above has been done by Cazzie. And can be found here at the SOH in the file library:

Seeing this thread prompted me to install the 108 in FSX as I remember what a fine FS9 model it was. However the panel for me is transparent. The gauges show up fine and there is not the usual complaint from FSX re old gauges, just the see through panel. I use FSX sp2 with Accel btw.
Is this fixable I have tried the panel edit above but no diff.
TIA.

Here is the thread in the French Forum.

Many thanks for that link Roger. I have been trying to fix that problem for months. It seems to work great in FSX now. Thanks again.

The KeDi gauges can be found at Flightsim.com. The complete set can be found under the file name "kedigud2.zip".

This is the bit of the panel.cfg that sorted it for me...

[Vcockpit01]
//Background_color=0,0,0
Background_color=57,57,57
size_mm=1024,413
visible=0
pixel_size=1024,1024
texture=$vcpanel

Roger - that edit works for me thank you. Panel now opaque. The copy from the French site was slightly different.
Works on the vintage panel, not the one which comes with the a/c.
Thanks again

Roland,

After I did the initial paint for the Ilse of Man Bf-108B, I found the proper map for the spinner (the square around the tire of all places). Huub's link directs one to the proper place, but the download one gets through the link are for some replacement textures for my AH F3F-2.

Therefore, I have zipped the main texture below in 888-8 32-bit bitmap with Alpha to replace and have the proper blue spinner. Just replace the texture you have with this texture in FS9 or FSX. If one has DXTBitmap or the MS Image Tool and wishes to convert it to DDSDXT5 for FSX, that is one's option.

Hello Thunder,
Thanks again, your panel adds a lot to the airplane.

Roger,

you made my day :jump::applause:

This plane was in my "Waiting" directory since I moved to FSX ACC.
It was one of my favorites in FS9 and I was so sad about the transparent panel in FSX ACC.

Thanks again :ernae:
