Just found this while reading the news..

I knew they had pretty much proved that one of the mini subs had made it into the harbor in time for the attack, but it looks like it's been found now. And according to this, the mini sub was probably responsible for the Oklahoma's capsizing.

Thats a very interesting story Willy.
Scary to hear that N. Korea and Iran are building these midget submarines now.
The Chinese have some very high tech subs now that are new technology non-nuclear vessels that can elude sub detection.

mini subs have been built since forever to use in private sector research.
if you have the cash, you can even buy a full sized one:

but if you only have a small pond to lurk in, your better off with this one:

if you have a link about the chinese sub, i would appreciate it. sounds interesting.

Hey CF,
This was the one that showed up in the middle of the Naval wargames at sea about a year or three back. It was totally stealth and used simple technologies and really freaked out the Navy that it was able to walk right through the wargames undetected. I do not know how we found out it was there. It may have just surfaced.
Now.. did they do that on purpose? ....or were they showing off?

Drug smugglers are using mini subs to transport their cocaine. Sure they are not that technical but they are way harder to see than a boat.
