Dear friends,

Due to continuing technical issues in our FSX development, we are expecting a delayed release of the FSX version until late January 2010. We are making steady progress, and expect to enter a short beta within the next 2 weeks. However we will not rush the project to make a Christmas deadline. Those of you who own the FS9 version know we take care of our customers, and in return we hope you'll understand that some things just can't be rushed.

As soon as the FSX version is available for preorder, we will send a mailing to the newsletter. We will send another announcement when the FSX version is actually shipping.

Pricing and Discounts:

MSRP: $49.95 US.

New customers who preorder will receive a 10% discount off the retail price.
Existing FS9 customers will receive a 25% preorder discount!

Promising to say the least! This is the most advanced modern jet ever developed in detail for FS, period.

Here's the video of the FS2004 version:

Can't wait for this one. I have the FS9 version, and it's amazing. Would love a smoother HUD in the FSX one. But then, I would also love to be stranded on a deserted island with the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders, and that's not likely to happen either, at least this year... :d

CodyValkyrie

Yes, the HUD will be significantly smoother due to a limitation that has been lifted with FSX itself.

Three Oceana Squadrons and you're taking pictures on a default field? I'm shocked.

I'll definitely get this too.

The plane disappeares behind a piece of the carrier deck right near the beginning of the vid (around 40 seconds in)

Is that a plane issue or a carrier issue?

Honestly CBris, I have NO idea what you are talking about. The scene changes to that of an F-14 taking off (not realistic, I know), but regardless there is no clipping at all. Care to elaborate more?

Looking forward to this release, and I can vouch for VRS's customer service as they helped me out of a jam just recently.

This will be beyond incredible once released. The only thing I'm concerned about is FPS. This thing hits FS9 harder than my PMDG 737 or LDS 767 does... :mixedsmi:

Than plane looks sexy. Its best to keep pushing the release date back seeing their FS9 version was amazing. Good to hear they really care about their customers enough to make sure they product is top notch. Great vid there Cody even tho its been out awhile.

That last shot has guns a blazin' with spent casings flying out the side, nice!

This looks absolutely amazing, great detail.

Darn it Cody, quit teasing me with pictures of the real F-18 cockpit.

He goes looking for his FS9 receipt.

This is really impressive. The FS9 version was already a pure jem, I'm really curious to see how this FSX version will behave.
By the way, anybody knows what will be the differences between the FSX version and the FS9 version? I'm not talking about graphics. I'd like to know about features.

Hmnmmm the night vision shot is interesting. If they can do that, there's no reason why a developer couldn't do an EVS sort of system like Cirrus has:

lest we forget the A2A F-4 Phantom :)

Honestly, the a2a F-4 is going to have to be unbelievably incredible to match the quality and depth of the VRS plane. Knowing a2a, they'll do it. :173go1: :icon_lol:
