Hi, I'm currently looking at upgrading my system as my board appears to be dying. Currently have a QX9650 on an XFX n790i ultra with 4gb Corsair XMS3

I'm currently planning on going for the following, any comments or recommendations?

MSI X58 Pro
Intel Core i7-920 Socket 1366 CPU D0 Stepping (SLBEJ)
Corsair H50-1 High-Performance CPU Watercooler
Corsair DDR3 1600MHz 6GB 3x240 DIMM Dominator GT
Corsair Obsidian 800D Full Tower Case

I already have:
XFX nvidia GTX285 Black edition
Coolermaster Real Power Pro 1250W

I was thinking of putting Win7 Pro (64 bit) on one of these - Corsair Extreme X128 128GB 2.5" SATA-II Solid State Hard Drive - and FSX on a separate drive - Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache.

Hope you can advise me

Thanks

Sorry I missed this over the Holiday...

If you really want to save money and still have a great FSX rig just get a Gigabute X48 motherboard...

Keep everything else as it is..It will run FSX great on that motherboard with some good ram..PC8500...

The SSDs are not that great yet, and tested offer very little for FSX..but the are nice and will offer some gains..Just not sure as to cost effectifeness of them for FSX
