Hello gents,
I have a problem with my computer that hopefully one of you might be able to give me some insight into.
My computer will shutdown on me periodically with no warning whatsoever. It only happens when I am running graphically intensive programs namely FSX, Photoshop & 3DS Max.
When it shuts down it is immediate! As if the power cord was pulled.
My system specs are in my sig but I am wondering if heat might be a factor? My rig is by Alienware & I have heard stories about heat problems with the case design.
I really dont know what amount of heat is normal/acceptable but all my cores vary from 79-92deg Fahrenheit depending on the load that is on them.
My GPU's are IMO hot. They are running as SLI with #1 being 162deg & #2 132deg.
So is heat the problem or do ya'll have any other ideas?
Thanks!
