Lets hope so and lets hope the Pitts is not far away too. Looks like a S-1 and S-2 Pitts is in the works.

Keep your eye on this thread for later images:

There will be more appearing very soon too, both here and there. :engel016:

Graphically she's "minutes away" - merely a few minor touches to fix. I could hug the paintkit already...

gajit

I think that the shots are flat without self shadow and the pilots need to look a bit more human!!

Cynicism becomes you Gajit :running:

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y276/CBris/vintage%20and%20veteran/th_august_12.jpg (http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y276/CBris/vintage%20and%20veteran/august_12.jpg)

And that is a shot from August. If you fly on a hazy dull day, you don't nececelery get shadows... The pilot figures? Well... they are mostly Mediterranean (?) and as for flat - well, isn't that what one expects of a matt paint scheme?

The plane has self shadow.

The interior self shadow is a function of DX10 and that is crab in FSX so why bother screenieing it?

She's not too bad really. Or have folks forgotten how well done the Saab Safir is? This is a high horsepower plane with low weight by the way. She's no ab-initio plane.

But anyway, she's not on the market yet. There are a few adjustments that are still being looked at. But compared to the time passed so far, it won't be that long. :);)

Well, since I'm one of those really silly folks that fly from inside the aircraft...

I'll be tickled plaid when this gets released. :icon_lol:

I can't wait for this one! :jump: Takes me back to Ft. Rucker, AL, 1964 with my instructor screaming in my headphones that I'm an idiot and shouldn't be allowed to fly a :censored: kite!

The paintings are great, but for me it's most important to have a plane with excellent flight conditions (=> a well done .air file!) Piper Cup A2A will be the standard to compare.

Oh hey Nick, are you using Track IR to take those angles?

That would be literally comparing apples to jalapenos, Sir. :icon_lol:

As ChrisB said, this aircraft had a big engine to low weight ratio aircraft. Yes, the Bird Dog is a little over twice the weight of the Cub, because it's all metal. But this Cessna had a 213hp Continental in it compared to the 65hp Continental of the Cub.

No comparison, the Sibwings Bird Dog will be the benchmark in it's own class. ;)

Hi Dain - I meant..... errrrr.... nah ..... it would take up too much time to explain and you might have meant what Im not sure you meant after confusing what I meant following what I think KDL was meaning!!

One thing is for sure - if its going to be better than their Safri then I completely agree. :ernae:

Wow, I think will come close to the Lotus L-39 as the 'best of the best' so far in FSX. I can actually smell that interior.

One thing that does not look quite right (to me anyway), those 'bonedomes' have no visible visors, tinted or otherwise. Also a bit of 'homemade embelishment' would look on the Vietnam pilot's helmets.

Sorry, just a bit of silly nit-picking.

This is one product I am going to buy, with or without visors!

Either that or a throat microphone, we used to use 'throat mikes' on rotary wing aircraft in the 70's and 80's a lot, I guess it may have been the same on Bird Dogs. They are more comfortable in hot climates, but give you two red marks on your neck that can last for hours!!

Yep, that was the original date that the project Announcement was posted. It goes on to say that the beta testing would begin in January of 2009 and release to follow sometime in March of 09.

Based on the screens that Nick has supplied us with, I would guess that it's quickly reaching a bursting point, lol. Be calm and maintain. . . .everything great comes to those who wait, lol.
