BearCat,

I fell on my own sword. Thanks for your input.:ernae:

Discus,

It is the Just Flight Mosquito which is payware. It is not an easy conversion either. There is a lot of trial and error. If you get it pm me and I'll help.

Bearcat,

I truely have a great feeling of accomplishment. I danced around when the bay doors first opened. Thank you.:ernae:

I danced around when the bay doors first opened.

As opposed to dancing the skies on laughter silver'd wings?

Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long delirious, burning blue,
I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew -
And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod
The high untresspassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand and touched the face of God.

I found a 3000 lb bomb which will work very well with the mossie bulge. I need help with lowering the weight so that the plane can take off. I tried to edit the Objects dp but no joy. What can I do?:wiggle:

PJ,
I take my hat off to you....:ernae:

I had to double-take at the pics, I couldn't believe they were the JF Mossie.

Like BC I thought it was one of those too hard/impossible things, damn well done!! :applause:

You realise that it opens other possibilities with other xml driven ani's.

Cheers

Thanks Shessi, I feel really good about it. Once I figured out the one, the rest were fairly easy. Perhaps you could answer another question for me. I and using a European only install but cannot seem to get rid of the Pacifis fields. Also, when I open mission builder I would like to see only Europe.
Any help is greatly appreciated.:ernae:

Here are some pix of the bulge model. I substituted the Russian FAB3000 bomb so it looks fairly accurate.

Hi PJ,
Yes, go into your SCENEDB\runways\scenery folder and remove (back-up) the allrunways.bgl and delete the filelist.dat.

You can also go into the SCENEDB\runways\world folder and remove (back-up) all the pac*.*.bgls and the specifc bgls that refer to any Pacific island ie saipan, iwojima, guam etc. BUT do not delete the global south.bgl. Also delete filelist.dat.

Also go into INFO\aibases.dat and delete the airbases data entres you do not want. When adding new airfields you can use the old numbers from the deleted bases.

I've had different success with removing everything bar the European Theatre entry in INFO\opareas. May help with MB and compaigns.

Cheers Shessi

p.s oooohh, just seen the new pics! great stuff!!

Shessi,

If you want the bomb after you convert the Mossie, drop me a line and I'd be happy to send it on. I added effects which are very effective. Now if someone could just figure out how to make the damage more signifgcant.

By the way, I followed your instructions to the letter but no joy on the scenery changes. I am missing something?:173go1:

You put what in it? Isn't there a British 4000lb 'Cookie' hereabouts?

Where? I checked Simvation but I'm not shure where else to look. I also xhecked my library but again no joy.:monkies:

PJ,
I'm sure that's all. The best thing to do is to close CFS2 and delete ALL the filelist.dat files in that CFS2 install.

Another thing to try is to delete (backup to another location) the below files in the main CFS2 folder. They get re-created by the sim so no worries. again do all this before re-starting sim.

INDEX_FILE
STR_INDEX
AIRWAY_INDEX
ICAO_INDEX
LAT_INDEX
WAYPOINT_INDEX

In your MB you should be choosing European Theatre when creating a mission.

After some exhausting searching [AND the consumption of several sacrificial Toll House Cookies....], this was all I could find (so far):

http://www.combatfs.com/index.php?loc=downloads&page=info&FileUploadName=mongoose&FileID=5969

These particular bombs (4Kg / 8Kg / 12Kg) are specifically designed for CFS3 use - Perhaps one of our Armament Specialists could whip something together for CFS2 ?
