Being a heli fan I'm thinking about getting X-Plane for this:

Looks like the most realistic BK117 available anywhere.

Is there anything special I need to know about running X-Plane on Vista 64?

It needs lots of disk space, but there are no problems running XP on Vista 64. I have been doing it for some time now.

X-plane 9 needs all that space for its scenery because this is EXTREMELY detailed and fantastic for VFR, but you don't have to forcibly install it all. If you usually don't go out of your nation/continent, you may install only what you need and leave the rest uninstalled.

Thanks guys, I ordered it today, now just got to wait on it to arrive. Then get the Bk-117 and the Tennessee photo scenery from realscenery.com and I'll be all set...Well maybe the Mu-2 that's out there....oh my...this is gonna get costly :icon_lol:

That MU-2 is worth every penny and comes with tons of features. Now X-Plane is getting more and more AI and populated airports. I have all the bush flying sceneries and they are very well done.

The Mu-2 is excellent.
