Anyone have a cheap recomendation for a HOTAS throttle. I don't need the joystick, just the throttle.

The CH Products Pro Throttle will work alone. It is a stand alone usb throttle.

Gents/Ladies,

H.ands O.n T.hrottle A.nd S.tick is meant to be a combined-device (functional) unit and NOT seperate devices. So, it sounds like your looking more towards a programmable Throttle quadrant instead; perhaps?

If so, look at these: http://www.chproducts.com/retail/throttles.html

Else, I would highly recommend these: http://www.thrustmaster.com/product.aspx?ProductID=11&PlatformID=5 (http://www.thrustmaster.com/products.aspx?CategoryID=1&PlatformID=5)

Or http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/gaming/joysticks/devices/5855&cl=us,en

I like my Saitek throttle unit as well. You can get just the three-handled throttle as a stand-alone USB device, and configure it as you please. You can also add another, and get full twin or quad engine capabilities.

I agree.

Saitek Throttle quadrant is great for flying passenger aircraft with several engines or GA airplanes. It's perfect for Rise Of Flight too: fits these old aircraft much better than modern HOTAS throttles with plenty of buttons and sophisticated shape.

It's cheap and you can stack several of them together. Lever heads are replaceable, so you can adjust it the way you like.

Another cheap but good product is Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X:

It's probably the least expensive joystick with separate throttle. The drawback is that the throttle doesn't have as many buttons as more serious hotas systems have.

Hi Guys,

I appreciate the assist. I should have clarified that I already own the CH TQ, yoke, and pedals. The reason I was looking for the HOTAS throttle was because I already have a joystick that I like and was just trying to compliment it with the throttle for appropprate single engine aircraft that utilize the stick with left hand throttle.

I like the Saitek throttle and if the CH one aver dies, may consider switching over but the CH TQ is still going strong.

Thanks,
LouP
