Anyone know if there is a freeware Junkers JU-52 for FSX?
I know of plenty for FS9. Or, possibly a FS9 version that would port
to FSX and still be decent. Thanks :kilroy:

I don't know any Ju-52 in native FSX format.
However, the one for FS9 made by Oliver Fischer is absolutely amazing, especially the VC.
I show it in this topic: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?t=25698
You can find it here: http://www.simviation.com/simviation/static.php?ID=88&page=94
You must also install this little fix for the internal windows (see attached file)

I don't know any Ju-52 in native FSX format.

Since January 17, 2021, there's a new FSX/P3D conversion of Oliver's Junkers 52 in the SOH library here (http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php/122863-Junkers-Ju-52-3M-(FSX-P3D-native)), thanks to Bulbbulb2 and InDeepSchit. It's really nice to fly again with an old favourite of mine...

In FSX (not P3D) there is a slight issue with propdisks (shadow) but it's (hopefully) being addressed as we speak!

Running fine under P3D v5.1.12!
Textures being still .bmp, you can even use some additional textures released for the original FS9 aircraft.

In FSX there is solid shadow for each prop... It's supposed to be easilly fixed with MCX like this:

I found where this "no shadow" parameter is in ModelConverterX 1.4, changed it to TRUE, looks fine. But with no SDK installed, I can't export... Maybe I'm too lazy and I should install the SDK... I still have the CDs. But I remember it was quite a pain to install... Help!

Success! No need to install SDK if you can locate these files: XtoMDL.exe and modeldef.xml. I found mine there:

XtoMDL (version 64bits from 2016)

modeldef.xml ("Result merge A+B" by David W.)

ModelConverterX 1.4 (by Arno/FSdevelopper) - this is the one I've used but I guess 1.5 below is just as good or better...
