Practice. :ernae:

The L-39 isn't the easiest plane to practice this with either.

Indeed, jets are harder to keep formation with as a general rule, and the L-39 is at the hard end of the jet scale due to the slow spool time. It's pretty satisfying though when it works out. As Kiwikat said, practice (plus good communication and steady flying from your lead) makes all the difference.

For ease of station keeping you can use just a smidge more power than the lead as well, 1-2%, and fine tune your position with a dab of airbrakes now and then.

Have fun! :)

Mike, thanks for the great job Lotus did on the L-39. Everything about it is top notch, from the plane itself, to the manual, to the Youtube tutorial videos. It is one of my most frequently used planes now, and I recommend it to everyone I talk to.

Really hoping to see another release from LS!

Sweet shots. :)

I've been a dillweed and practicing formation flight with myself with FSRecorder before I waste someone elses time in Multi (although having a person make corrections would help too).

Bottomline, it's a lot more challenging than it looks, great work!

Anyone know how to get the GPS in the center like that? Was there a patch released recently?

Hi DHL, yes I released a full update, v1.2, on Oct 25th. You can just re-download from whichever vendor you got it from, simmarket or fspilotshop, and reinstall. Just be sure to uninstall your original version first completely. Don't worry if it doesn't say v1.2 on your download file, it's the latest version inside the zip.
