Itazuke AB was co-located with Fukuoka City airport and as you can see from the website it was a great place for shooting photos, always a mixed bag of military and commercial aircraft. On one commercial flight I made from there in 1971 I saw a JAL 727, a Cessna, a JASDF T-33 and a USAF C-130 all moving down the taxiway ahead of us. :)

Great Pics , thanks for sharing . Very few pics I can find of my old base(Still active--I think !)

MCAS Iwakuni . Been in and out of there on a C-130 . These pics bring back alot of great memories. (6 months there in 67).

"Fried rice and Saki" . and some other things outside the gate which I can't mention here .http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/images/icons/icon11.gif Some of my worst hangovers were in Japan .:icon29::icon29::icon29::isadizzy:

I feel your pain, even after all these years. Remember Akadama Wine with the big red "meatball" on the label? Goes down easy like sangria or wine coolers but God help ya the next morning. We used to call it "being run over by the Red Ball Express". :icon_lol:
