Anybody know what I did wrong with Malta?

Everything looks great, EXCEPT for the square grass in the Med surrounding the island.

Did you remember to add the flatten line to the scenery.cfg?

If you have, try taking it out. With Rhumbaflappy and Sander's files, I don't use the flatten line for the scenery.cfg

The flatten goes on the "Malta 2" scenery line.

One of these days I have to put in Malta.I did a Malta campaign many moons ago and would like to do a new one someday.

One other possibility......did you remember to copy the scenery textures from the \beta4\texture folder into BOTH the Malta1 and Malta2 texture folders?

If you've done that as well....then I'm really confused. :monkies:

i am having some trouble too but i am not using Rhumbas' mesh..so maybe that is the cause of my differnces...

there is this similar square cut out area...maybe i have the same problem as you Devil Dog, i wil ltry taking out the flatten switch as it seems to have nuked some of the coast line here.

I also keep crashing here, so maybe i am getting hit by GIbraltar as i loaded it up last night as well, i better go see about the fixes that Jean found.

The Malta1 and Malta2 scenery layers are back to front in your scenery.cfg folder. Reverse them and you should be OK. I also have the Malta_BSK_V2 files combined with the Malta1 files all in the one folder and it makes no difference - it still works fine.

I would really like to know what sequence you went thru to get those awesome scenes, I cannot get barely half of what you have, and I have wrestled with the list of scenery in scenedb. I have gotten into the fight, but the 2nd episode in the campaign is purely a wonky mess - such as - it starts on a grassy field instead of an airport, and the wingmen are hopping around on the field, and when I attempt to get out of virtual mode, to real mode in the sim, I have gotten shot up by my own AA guns (yes wrestled with country.cfg) the taxiing goes into a twisting crashing mess, and I have to start over again. Anybody any thoughts?:monkies:

I followed Rami's install order if you track down his list on the Gibralter To the Rock thread, i had to uninstall and am rebuilding because i had tried to do a pre new Rhumbaflappy files install but it was impossible to get the coastlines right, so i am sorry i dont have my order any more. Good luck :) Malta is truly an awesome scenery.

Might be a solution here, or maybe you found it:

Malta and Gozo v.1.1 textures fix.
Some users have reported problems of void texture tiles all along the coastlines of the islands.
This can be simply fixed by copying the whole content of Scenedb\World\Texture into the root
"Texture" folder of the sim: the fix does not affect in any way the default Pacific scenery, and
prepares to further installations of new Ground2k projects.

Thanks Rami & CrisGer, getting closer, I fix a bunch of missing items, however, cannot find .bgl or (info) graphic for "inf_camo_net" in any of the Malta stuff. have the .dp only, and the malta missions keept crying for it. Would any of the above get it too me. On another note: I have fiddled with "clipboard" before, but with xp and previous os's what is your routine to dump pics of the sim to a scan. 'cause I can give you a remarkable before/after of the Malta campaign.

The "inf_camo_net" is a part of this package by Pen32win.

Okay, finally got back to Malta.

I reversed Malta 1 and Malta 2 positions.

I am getting closer. I still have those land sqaures in water, but everything else is looking good, EXCEPT my FPS.

Got the scenery stuff etc., sorted out, now the @#$%^&* airplane is a real wimp, trying to get above 100 knts, is nuts for this a/c, anybody know how to fix it, and stall city all the time, something is rotten in the state of !!!
