To all you Witches,Warlocks,Ghosts and Goblins.

I'm having a kids party this afternoon.

No Moe you're not invited,I don't want the kids to have nightmares.:icon_lol:

Tonight is the party for the grownups and Moe doesn't qualify for that one either.:jump:

Just finished carving the pumpkin. :)

Now we're waiting for the grandparents to arrive. Then we have the annual toss up to see who stays home to give out candy, and who goes out with the wee ones....

well, permit me to brag on my lovely wife just a little bit

$$ has been real tight around here lately. my wife can pinch a penny till it screams. (otherwise we'd be up the crick) her daughter (15 goin on 35) wanted to go to a halloween party with her friends, but there wasn't a whole lot of money for a costume. she said she wanted to be a maid like the girls in japan who do the cosplay thing at comic cons and stuff. the wife said "i think i can do something, let me see what we have".
she went off to the closet and dug through the rag bag. then she got out her sewing kit, and 2 days later, her daughter is off to the halloween party, and her costume looks awesome! check it out:

The area I live in is just out of city limits and most everyone here is older and retired. Other than our grandkids, we just don't get trick or treaters.

Just back home from my parents house with my family. My parents have some farm land and I spent a few weeks wages on assembling a huge fireworks haul for this year.....kids loved it! as did I :icon_lol:

Money??!!, never seen that before. I dare them to try that one.

My fav in TX, Hispanic kids coming to the door with no costumes on, what's up with that. Put a sign on the door this year, "No costume, no candy!" or maybe "No traje, no caramelos!" :applause:

We had costume day at work on Thursday, I think my costume may have offended a few, LOL

i woulda thought so too if i was a teenager. funny thing is, there are a bunch of guys that hang around in her group, i see the way they look at her.
she thinks of them more like brothers than anything else. when i say "nate thinks your cute i think" she say "ewww that's gross, he's my friend! "
our apt is one of their main haunts, it's helps me to keep an eye on things, and to make sure everybody gets at least one good meal on a given day.
thy're surprisingly good kids. nothing like i was as a teenager....yet :icon_lol:

My boss lives in an kinda upscale neighborhood, and the Hispanic kids are trucked in by the carload to score bigtime. What happened to staying in and enjoying ones own neighborhood, like we did as kids? And we were not rich
or upperclass....
Cheesy,
All she needs is a M1911A1 to go with that getup! Or maybe a Nambu....
