Hi,
anyone run the upgrade from Vista SP2 64bit Ultimate to W7 64bit Ultimate?
Would like to know,if this could be an option without making a new install of
this OS and FSX.
I know,a clean install is allways better, but for testing W7?
Are there any issues with sceneries and aircrafts?
Thanks
Michael

Yes, I did an upgrade from Vista Home Premium 64 to Win 7 Ultimate 64 with no problems about a week ago. All is well and it is smooth! Go for it.

I forgot to mention,that i have 3HDD`s running.
The first for the OS and other private things.
The second for all FSX Addons, that doesn`t go directly into the FSX-folder.
The third for FSX-ACC.
That`s the reason,why i`m more than sceptic,if i should use the Upgrade-function.
Anyone tested this with an similar configuration?
Thanks a lot
Michael

Thanks, but this is for an upgrade from a W7 RC.
I have a normal Vista SP2 installation and don`t know,
what will be overwritten in the registry during the upgrade-procedure.
Momently i have not the time for an clean install of W7 and FSX.

Hey I just checked in here and this is exactly what I want to do, maybe I chose the wrong wording. Anyways thanks Michael :icon_lol:, not hijack this thread, but does anyone know if Win7 COMES in the upgrade box, or do you have to send away for it like in Vista?

Well after a little searching I found this " Includes both the 32- and 64-bit versions of the operating system." So it looks like it is in the box.
