If money is no object ..... the only thing I'd go for is the McLaren BMW F1GT dating back to 1995, which fits my idea of 'modern'.
:kilroy:
Not a fan of the current school of 'Jelly Mould' blobs and uglified 'Retro' horrors.
For every day road use and driving pleasure, a BMW M1 (if that's the current designation) as I love those BMW straight sixes.
Back in the 'Real World', a VW Golf turbo diesel ............. :d ..... or an Audi, Citroen, Renault or Peugeot, considering the price and shortage of gasoline it's one thing to dream but A$280.00 to fill up the GT40R is a big reality check.

Addendum: If I were to opt for a 2006 Supercar it would be the Koenigsberg CCX ...... one of the most intelligent aerodynamic designs I've come across, brilliant mechanical and engineering detail and a maximum speed of 400K!
All for only some US$650.000, and being Swedish the build quality is second to none.
It even looks really stylish.

You guess . . .

Hints:
My first car was a 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang
Best car I ever owned was a 1966 Mustang Convertible
I have owned 11 Ford Mustangs of various years
I now have two vehicles: a 1983 Mustang GT (like new) and a 1990 Mustang LX 5.0 (daily driver)

So, what would you think my favorite modern car would be?

Hey All,

Some of these cars I never heard of but after looking I'll make do with a CCX as well. I'm normally a MOPAR guy preferring the Viper but that CCX... Can't help myself! :costumes:

A BMW M5 or M6 would be on my driveway, if I could afford one. I'm not particularly fond of the way they look (Not that they are ugly cars!), but I've heard that mighty V10 engine rev a few times....

A Spyker (Dutch, and I just love the styling!) would be nice too: http://www.spykercars.com/
