Good morning everyone (well at least morning for those of us on the East coast). Figured I would bring a quick update of the Sikorsky Skycrane. These are screens of the VC straight off the press. In closing I hope everyone is enjoying the P-38 release. We are still plugging away on the Cirrus Vision and F-15, but no new progress to speak of/show that is drastic from the last. As always comments are welcome, just remember it is still a work in progress.

Nice renders, looking good! Hope the sim performance is better than the huey (or at least on par with it).

Wasn't the original design the CH-54, will that still be included? 3D (animated?) sling loads ? Looks like Peter and Tamas have their work cut out for them, LOL.

I believe that's only a repaint away if not included. There shouldn't be any differences to really speak of.

It looks gorgeous:applause:, but it has got to fly well AND not slow down people's
PCs to a crawl either.....that is a big ask!!

Are the rearward facing controls reversed? That would be a new concept in MSFS!!!

We're actually doing both the CH-54A and the Erickson S-64E which are, in most regards, the same. They use the same cockpit with the doors, legs and landing gear being the only real differences.

Erickson uses both the CH-54A, the CH-54B, now known as the S-64E and the all new, revamped, S-64F which has a glass cockpit. We're not doing that version in this release though we may consider it as an add-on later.

We are intending to do heavy lifting, water bombing and flying from the rear seat... Though to be honest, in all of my many conversations with the S-64 pilots, they all said they NEVER fly from there... too confusing.

The product will be within the same parameters as the Huey as it stands now. In other words, it will be totally flyable.

The repaint kit will be released with the product.

If you wish to see higher rez images of the VC and of the two birds that will be released in the package, please go here (http://www.milviz.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=496) and here (http://www.milviz.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=455).

Judging from the noises here, I think that may be open to debate. Hopefully a patch for the Huey is due soon and lessons will be learnt. Having a superb cockpit and one that allows smooth operations is right at the cutting edge now........and that can hurt!!

We already released a patch that fixes all of the FPS issues. If you go to the place where you bought the Huey, the patch is available. We haven't had any other complaints about FPS anywhere.

We are releasing a last patch soon to fix some other issues.

Th Skycrane will fly only on Acceleration . That is so that the hoist/pulley systems can be implemented...
