I have downloaded the Realtek audio drivers that the motherboad requires. However, it's out of sync with Microsofts Legacy audio drivers. It makes Clint Eastwood talk in falsetto with a echo.
Anybody got an idea how I can get rid of the Legacy drivers?

HD, my board has those drivers. I used the ones that came on the CD that came with the board.
Try re-installing those from safe mode.

No, Clint has a low grumbling whisper like in, "Go ahead, make my day".
I just watched him in "Gran Torino". Great movie but the sound was terrible.
It was what happened when Harry Callahan turned 80. His day was finally made.

I agree..

Uninstall the drivers from device manager..Then run the mobo driver...Don't use Express Install..Just select the driver you need ..

And HD....A Pats helmet???? :mixedsmi:

Harleyman - You didn't notice what it said under the helmet.

Location: Newburyport, Massachusetts

The family has been in Massachusetts since 1636

That makes us real Patriots.

My money is on a wrong setting in Realtek's sound manager. There might be a setting in use that adds some kind of ambience (hallway, salon, club, etc...) to the sound.

I've never had problems with Realtek's audio drivers myself.
