I just felt like going fast, really fast and I thoroughly enjoyed it too!! LOL.

You just can't beat the good old F3 Tonka even if the VC is wrong on this model by Alphasim. The exterior is really nice though I thought, so I took her up from RAF Marham in Norfolk, and heres my flight, storms off to the west I think, its that default weather setting that offers a flying challenge ... NOT lol!

If you have ever wondered why when you see the Tornado it always has a black, sooty stained tail this is why, because of the reverse thrust buckets, you clean them then four sorties later there black again and I love that!!
This is I'm sure as were all aware out of service now except for training and experimental work, but this has to be one of the finest looking variable geometry aircraft ever to be built and I'm sure we'll never see another again with the decline of the Tomcat and Tornado, so heres to the VG winged fighters of old! I shall never forget that sound of the RB199 thundering past me at the airshow its breath taking it literally knocked the air out of your lungs lol!

Best regards and enjoy Pete!!

Yeah same here tbh I have a tear in my eye for her, I thoroughly miss this aircraft, the Typhoon is 100% better yes but looks wise and just the pure power that you feel standing near one is unbelievable as I'm sure you know Kiwi! I'm doing the EF next though!

I might end up flying the Eurofighter as well if I make it through the little test in 2 years and the F-35 project get's cancelled. I think the Netherlands should really aim for the Eurofighter if the F-35 is a no-go. The Gripen is nice and all, but in the end, it's just an update for a very old aircraft already...

A bit of noise, speed, smoke, and maybe one or two afterburners thrown into the equation. Can't beat it! :ernae:

well 2 afterburners would be preferable if in a typhoon, talk about having some fun with yawing :icon_lol: i agree though the Tonka F3 just looks right, Tiffie FGR.4 (Fighter/Ground Reconaissance) as she is in RAF Service both looks and performs right, i remember RIAT '07 i put a can of coke on the bin behind me and sat against it, typhoon powere up and i got a can on my head, a cola shower and became a wasp magnet... anyone else remember Tiffie nearly Bottoming out at RIAT '06? :icon_lol: brown trouser moment :icon_lol:

The Gripen is old?..crikey that must make the F-16, F-18 etc ancient! The Typhoon is about the same age as the Gripen..the Swdes just got their act togther and got it into service a lot earlier.
