That tiger scheme is a MUST in this package, if some of you got all the pertinent info about it, it would be priceless..

You know, I don't know why, but I have ALWAYS been attracted to this aircraft. There was always something about it that I adored. Can't wait for this package!

It has that pugnacious, purposeful look...sort of like a jet-age F4F Wildcat or F6F Hellcat.

Now if you'll do this and finish the T-2 and the A-4's that would be :ernae:.

Hey Smoothie,

I just realised your hellenic origin! Good to have a Greek here, at least in origin. I have been to that show and seen this bird for real.

My PPL instructor used to fly SLUFs before his retirement from the HAF. He converted to them from F-5As. He tells me that the technological shock was enormous in those days as the difference in the amount of systems in the A-7, compared to the F-5 was literally a day/night difference.

I'd love to see that A-7 finished Prowler.

Another vote for a Hellenic Corsair! Although I do prefer a nice camo scheme, all dirty and weathered like a lot of Greek aircraft:

The HAF SLUFīs apparently are a fav spot for birds..
The tiger scheme will be there, in fact even the Thai SLUFīs will be in the package..you know me.lol
Currently working on the cockpit, it was a long migration from gmax to 3dsmax,but now itīs there and itīs bound to be finish before xmass.

Prowler - As the guy that sold LTV all seven radomes that was on the A-7 aircraft, I can tell you that the Doppler radome was not on U.S. Navy aircraft. Only the Air Force versions had them.

I love this aircraft! I have one concern though. The F-102 you guys released looks amazing, I know the cockpit is way above par for FSX stuff these days. My concern for the A-7 is that the paints will be below par, as were the ones for the F-102 (from what I've seen). It almost looks too cartoonish/dry/crayonish. I don't know how to explain it, so hopefully this photo helps:

http://simflight.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/DeltaDagger.jpg

Does anyone else see what I'm saying? I'm not bashing Razbam, I'm just curious if this is a certain painters style. I've seen shots of the landing gear for the F-102, and they look damn near real, yet the fuselage paint is dull and dry (when I say dull and dry I don't mean how some real world paints are made to be dull or shiney), I mean they just, I don't really know how to put it into words, sorry.

I know it's a WIP, so if I'm speaking to early, forgive me, but here is the shot you posted:

http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b26/Prowler1111/A-7029.jpg

It has the same feeling as the F-102 paint, and I know it's not your models, because Dag made an amazing paint for the F-102. Maybe you guys can take note of this, coming from a customer, and an A-7 lover!

Regards, Diego

MenendezDiego:
Itīs just a WiP of an unfinished model, is better to show it that way than this way:

http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b26/Prowler1111/A-7006.jpg

Those who have followed me long enough know that those WiPīs i post in early stages of development rarely make it to the release version. The reason you never had a chance to see one of such with the 102, itīs just because i didnīt post WiPīs pics of it, and those few ones, does look exactly like the SLUFF looks right now.

Prowler, I'm wrong. I guess later variants actually had them. See picture showing the differences between the US Navy and US Air Force types.

The Doppler radar was standard fit for the USN on the C and E models and the TA-7C, it wasnt standard on the A and B models, though it may have been fitted later to some but I've not seen one as yet.

How did you migrate the model from Gmax to 3DMax? I tried a method I found on the net, but it was really involved, and needed some extra apps from FPS games and such. I got a few models I would love to port over to 3DMax.
