There is a parameter missing from both the FS9 and FSX G500 GPS scripts that will add a "terrain shadowing" effect to the color terrain map view.

I have discovered that there is one entry to "add" and another to "modify" in order for this to work:

Also, it's simple enough to add a "traffic display" to the GPS:

I assume Bill that you have to unpack the 'fs9gps.cab' file, modify the XML script and then repack the 'fs9gps.cab' file.

Is that correct?

I provided the exact steps required in the sticky post, but yes...

...mostly. It is not strictly necessary to "recab" the fs9gps.cab file.
