View Full Version : Problems with some recent planes

This is in no way a complaint about the new offerings in question. I've not seen any other posts about this and so all I can assume is that there is something about my own set up that is the cause.

Om my rig the Peperez tweak for Baldy's D376 bursts into flames whenever it loads up and the new Ki-102 leaps off the ground and then explodes.

Any suggestions about what I could adjust? I'm guessing there is something in the airfile or contact points settings it doesn't like.

2nd question - if I remember correctly there is an airfile setting that stops converted models from loading with engines running. Can anyone remind me what it is?

I replaced the Ki-102 Randy contact points in the aircraft.cfg with this:

It's not perfect, but at least the plane doesn't fall to the ground when the game launches.

I didnt find any problem with the plane itself, it is just that when in the 2D cockpit it takes nearly 10 seconds to change views with the hat switch and the shine is a bit overdone for my taste. It is a great looking plane and flies well on my rig, thanks for the conversion Pep

I won't be able to fly the Randy till next year, but your problem might be fixed with this little addition to the Panel.cfg file:

[Window00]
file=panel.bmp
size_mm=1024
render_3d_window=1<<-- Add this line to converted FS aircraft for CFS 2


Check it and let us know if that helps.

Jagdflieger I am still having the same problem as watchdog with the slow response with the 2d cockpit external views. I tried your tip for the panel confg. and still having the same problem. I also noticed that the randy is one of the least maneuverable aircraft for cfs2. The randy makes the beaufighter seem like a zero. Any more ideas anyone?:isadizzy:

For the panel problem, try with this .cfg. Eliminate the txt extension, as usual :icon_lol:.

Hey JapLance, that panel cfg worked a treat. Many thanks! BuV, I found the flight model was just as I would expect, on my rig its quite nimble- strange.
