while suffering a horrible birthday hangover i did another set of aussie UH1s from the Vietnam era

The 135th was a typical Vietnam era Assault Helicopter Company with the major exception that it was composed of both U.S. Army and Royal Australian Navy personnel. Because of this unique composition, the 135th was considered an Experimental Military Unit, hence its call sign E.M.U. or EMU."

the C model was done as a request for in honour of his mates who were ops low level about 6 miles from Blackhorse when their gunship was hit by an RPG causing their subsequent crash & explosion

Hi , I went to school with Tony Casadio in Mt. Gambier , South Australia . I was in Vietnam with 3 RAR ( Infantry ) when he was shot down and killed . I didn,t find out until I received a letter with the news from my mother. We had been corresponding by letter and had received permission from his C.O. for me to join him for a short period as one of his side gunners . Before I could get permission my end he was shot down. He was apparently shot down previous to this and his crew managed to hold off the V.C. before being rescued . His Huey UH-1C tail number was 66-15125 and I located this information by going to Google and typing in A.A. Casadio . Best Regards , Alex Cutting ex Charlie Company 3 R.A.R. Vietnam 1967 - 68 . It was the Arsehole Of The World and we were just the **** passing through.
