Next year we'll celebrate the 70th anniversary.....WOW!

I only hope to be able to go to London and see the airshows that will surely be organised!

I have watched this movie many times, still one of the best aviation movies ever made, and for the first time I have just noticed that the trailing three 'Hurricanes' in this scene actually apear to be Hispano built '109s, am I correct?

Sorry, bit of clarification, I am refering to the scenes of the Polish training flight chosen by Pepe.

Indeed you are! They were also painted as such too. The Hurricanes were the only three airworthy at the time.
Although most characters in the film were 'fictionalised' every incident portrayed is historical fact.

The aircraft destroyed by 303 Sqn during that training flight was a Bf110.

My admiration and restpect goes to the British Nation and their Leader Winston Churchill in facing Defeat in their doorsteap their chose to fight and safe the World from certain disaster. Had Britain chosen to Nagotiate instead of continue to fight against all logic the World of today would have been much worst off.

The Hurricanes were true Hurricanes. The Bf109 were Hispano Buchon, not too far from reality. One curiosity, all Star Wars I dogfight was based in Battle of Britain scenes.

Having recently read that there were indeed some Buchon which had been painted as Hurricanes as well as Bf-109s (though not both at the same time -lol), I had been wondering how obvious they might have been. Considering how many times I've watched this film, I wasn't expecting to be able to see them, but there they are - just as jim001 said !
