Some shots of the up coming Yak-52, just a shame they are only showing the FS9 model at the moment. Wish they had better shots of it.

Wish they had better shots of it.

Indeed. Do they seriously have nobody who can ramp up the settings in FS9 to above 'awful'?

The model doesn't look bad, but I'm sure it could look a whole lot better on somebody else's system.

Agree with you there.

Alphasim have never been able to take a decent screenshot to save their lives. No idea how to show off their products. For Alphasim screens, those actually aren't that bad. I always cringed at their old site, where you had to click on some embarassingly low-quality, jaggy-ridden shot of their latest release to get to the home page.

Yea, I don't take exceptional screens myself, but even my poor ones are better than those. That has been the history of their screens though, they seem to put little stock in the quality of the shots they post, almost as if to say. . ."you know we make quality payware addons, so it isn't necessary to put any effort into preview screens".

Just making the screenie "dramatic" can make up for some jaggies....at least entice the buyer that it might be cool to have this particular plane.

I used to be a big AS buyer but of late nothing they have trips my trigger....

Whoever the screen shot guru is, they're obviously just too cheap to invest in a decent monitor. Something with 2560x1600 res would do wonders for the image.

I think it's the whole PC instead of the monitor.

Still puzzles me why people stick to their Pentium 4 based, awfully old systems when there's decent modern ones out there for like 300€s that can even run FSX. :isadizzy:

That looks like a cool project. I wish they'd finish up the few others they have in work for the love of god...

To cheap to buy a better monitor? Phil edits his screenshots too, but I suspect most devs do as well....

Free offer: I will start oddering screenshots of devs products for free; I'm tired of bad screenshots. Where's the marketing and excitement? I want to be SOLD a product.

I was thinking more about the early P4s...you know, like in the two to three Ghz range...
