I see there is a sale on the new i5 and i7 chips over at NewEgg.

Any thoughts on these? Performance, etc? Are they good?





Also, in their marketing department at Microsoft, did they think that the populous will purchase products from MS more easily if they name their product lines with Apple style naming systems, like beginning with a small 'i', lol.... Crazy on that part. (Oh look honey, lets buy this for our PC, it must be a Mac part. Surely this will not break... )

Intel isn't Microsoft...in fact, I think Macs use Intel processors.:kilroy:

To answer your question, yes, they are good.

I've heard similar things about the i5...being referred to as "crippleware". I was talking about the i7 920 I use.
