I noticed the change yesterday... surely it shouldn't change for another few weeks?

Those textures appear in game through the September, then are being replaced by the feared drab textures which are responsible for "winter" ;)

 In the Northern hemisphere (meteorological) autumn (or fall as they say on the other side of the pond), starts on the 1st of September and in 6 month we will have spring again here......

I am anxiously awaiting to see how the the GEX Europe textures will look like in the various seasons. According to Nick Needham, the package is finally going to be released in the next 90 days, probably earlier.

Actually I prefer our Autumn weather to our spring..but at least summer is around the corner.

You are correct of course! I always get those confused... Could be the weather outside at the moment though, making me wish for another summer....

How low do you fly to see those?:d

While I am more of a spring and summer guy I must confess I like the mood the autumn textures provide in FSX. Makes for some real epic flights. Summer and winter textures are mostly lacking visual variation.

Of course all the photo scenery guys are going, 'Huh?'. Personally I love how the FSX trees look in autumn but for the 'desert' problem there are some alternative Europe (and USA) ground textures over at Avsim by Adam Mills.

Weather is changing all over. I was in Amsterdam on July 23 and it was raining, got to Paris on the 24th and it was cold, had to get a sweater, here we had a "tonado" last week, a very rare phenomena for this part of the globe. The rainy season started on March and it has hardly rained.....crazy.:kilroy:

As has been mentioned, get yourself the european ground textures from Avsim, they are supposed to adress the desert look in autumn and winter.
Here's a shot of your home country in November with said textures in conjunction with REX and UTX.

Second shot is from today, so to speak.

I'm still flying quite often in FS2004. In my opinion autumn is definitely the most beautiful season in Golden- or Silver Wings

Mathias, I guess you did take off from Woensdrecht as I do recognise that area ;)

Indeed much better. I have prleced the default textures by the sets made by Adam Mills. Quite a download (>600 MB), but definitely worth the time.

Well looking out the window at the rain, it might as well be autumn.

Does it ever stop raining in Cumbria? ;)
